Default Replacement passive subwoofer for panasonic SC HT-40

hi guys,recently my brother brought up a panasonic home theater from US,but due to heavy weight of the sub woofer he had left the sub woofer back in US.Now i am going out to make one locally from here,but i am not sure about the power ratings of one to buy(like can i be replace it with 8" or 10" subs,6 ohm or 8ohm etc).Please help me asap.thanks in advance.

The sub amp is not putting out much power and it looks dirty (10% THD?!?). I would build something with an 8 ohm driver...small sealed box. Look for driver with some nice Xmax numbers...8mm or better.
