What's so different with these changes? I mean Avast went nuts when I tried to DL it, locking up the computer while it sent it off somewhere to be picked apart, then several minutes later unlocked/allowed the DL with a thanks for alerting them to a new software to add to their list.

David, Hornresp shows that an update but upon downloading/installing the update, the old version remains and notifies of the update again.

False alarms from security/virus scanners happen from time to time. If unsure, check files with VirusTotal (which comes in handy in other situations as well).

In Plan9, i now see QL. My mistake, i thought "Vented-box enclosure system" includes "bassreflex with offset port" and other ported enclosures, but it seems it's
only in the "normal" bass reflex.

, but I'm still doing it the old way, so can 'critically' damp the vent and spec offset in 'chamber/path'. GM
What seems to be happening in the case of Hornresp is that the antivirus software checks to see how many times the Setup.exe file has been downloaded, and if only a few times (which is the situation early on with a new release) it thinks that the file must be suspect in some way because it appears to have very limited use. If I stopped releasing updates to Hornresp the "false positive" problem would probably go away once the number of downloads reached a level considered to be acceptable by the security software
.For a direct radiator in a vented-box enclosure with offset port, system losses can be introduced by specifying absorbent filling material. It is not possible to do this with the standard Hornresp bass reflex system, so the QL parameter is used instead in that case. Including absorbent filling material reduces the port outlet particle velocity, similar to the result achieved by decreasing the QL parameter value.
Because it is a relatively easy thing to do, in the next update the QL parameter will be provided for "offset port" bass reflex systems as well.

When the System Model acoustic circuit block diagram was first added to the Loudspeaker Wizard the diagram was displayed by default when the Wizard was opened. This was later changed in the update released 29/06/20 so that the standard schematic diagram again became the default. Are you seeing something different to this, perhaps? Schematic 1 has never been the default.
