Hi David,

Yes, that's possible, as I was going back and forth between different simulations, and also in an out of the Loudspeaker Wizard. I thought I had just reopened Hornresp, but everytime I have tried to get the error right after opening Hornresp it does not appear.

Inspired by Karlson, I'm thinking of loading the front of woofer by the output of port(s).

Or, was it there somewhere already? :eek:

That is an interesting design that I have been meaning to model in AkAbak. It is what I think is a slot loaded bandpass reflex box with push pull drivers. What driver are you thinking of using and what are your design constraints in f3, bandwidth, and overall box size? This should be relatively simple to model in AkAbak with about 6 elements for the enclosure and two drivers. I don't see the resemblance to a Karlson anywhere unless you plan on a Karlson aperture on the exit port.

I did try a ML-TL with the infinity woofer who is not yet used.

I can get if I have believe hornresp that is a nice sub, looks only port is quite small, (noice). box is bigger then normal.

Only what is that gray around the speaker? seems damping but I have not put that in hornresp and I don,t get it away.

Oh, that's what it is ! Good idea :)

Afcourse it is a design, I do testing with it and so it is a bit of a mess.

But sound is really good, mosfets are dc coupled to the driver tubes, with a dc tracker because tubes are not so stable in idle.

Amp do play now already for 5 years, never had a blow.

I have a new amp designed with only plate followers, the driver is a big tube with a mu of two, sund is nice and warm
only second harmonics.

Don't know, though my sim looks way different than yours, indicating that this is indeed an area filled with damping.

Yes I think also, I get it not cleared, I did set it on zero but still it exists, I miss something, but David can clear this in a glitch..

Let me see your sim, how it looks with you?

my sim don,t look bad, nice low and efficienty.

The sketch is just a preliminary idea. Not yet a certain goal. But I'd love to know its potential.

Using a pair of Beyma 18 inch G550's mounted asymmetrically (push-pull) in a 6 in wide x 21 in tall x 18 in deep slot with 3 cubic foot chambers on the back of each driver, and each chamber connected to the slot with a 3.5 in wide x 21 in tall x 15 in long (one 90 deg bend) vent leading to the common slot, and a 8 in deep x 12 in wide front horn connected to the 6 in wide slot, we get the following response into 2 pi at xmax of 9 mm. The magnet of one of the drivers will hang into the cone cavity of the other driver by 0.5 inch. It has a peak following the bandpass similar to a TH. The overall dimensions are 24 in wide x 21 in tall x 28 in deep.

Response with with 27 Hz HPF but no LPF at 2.83 volts showing -3dB point at 31 Hz and 100 dB sensitivity:

Edit: CLS, Just saw your post for 20-80 Hz and 500 liters. This design is only 230 liters so there is room to go deeper but will have to modify to use your drivers. Can you get me T/S params in terms of Qes, Qms, Re, Le, Vas, Bl, Mms, etc? then I don't have to convert the style Hornresp uses.
