I think that 25 pounds including delivery is a bargain. I would just repair it (after telling the seller how ethical is to sell broken stuff as if it was brand new ).

Default Rip Off Delivery

Hi.

12pounds for the speaker is OK if it worked

25pounds carriage by DHL is a rip-off.

DHL 48hr delivery is around 8 + vat

CA is cyan acrylate.
Or you can use epoxy glue.

I would repair it, not send it back, to much risk.

There are hundreds of brands of CA A.K.A "SuperGlue" that will work, but I prefer Plasti Zap for plastics.

Epoxy would work, but I would have more confidence in a CA bond for plastic.

Another option that I have used before is to ask for a partial refund based on the devaluation caused by the damage.

The seller then does not have to refund the full amount, you don't have to package and re-send and you are compensated for your loss. You can start this process informally or bring it up as part of a Paypal dispute.

I successfully managed this when a Muppet sent me a pair of Tannoy Reveals. Each speaker cabinet was contained in a tight fitting cardboard box with (literally) nothing else! Anyway, I kept the damaged goods and repaired them and the seller gave me a partial refund that I was happy with.

All the best,

I agree with Martin. See if they will do that for you. Use some leverage.

The first thing I would do is to check the sellers feedback history. If it is good, the seller will wish to keep it that way.

I would negotiate with the seller as to what the best thing is to do.

With a liitle luck, you might come to some agreement as to some return of your money, and you have an inexpensive purchase.

Keep in mind that returning the speaker does neither you or the seller any good. The seller is faced with an additional shipping costs. Most ebay sellers value their feedback rating. Use this your advantage.

If your seller will not cooperate, complain to ebay, give him he bad rating, and take your lumps. You will find that of

Sorry, last paragraph was cut off. Bad Wi-fi connection here.

I wish to add that one bad purchase should not put you off purchasing through ebay. The vast majority of purchases are most satifactory, and with a little care, you will find that the winnings will far exceed any losses.

Hey guys, the seller gave me a partial refund in the end, which is better than nothing....

I've had a hunt around, and I've found I've got some "zap-a-gap" which looks similar to the plastizap, so I should be able to fix this.
