Hi all. I'm about to embark on my next build, and I'm wondering which of these options you guys think would result in a better room response.
1) One giant subwoofer firing into one corner. And then put a bass trap in the opposite corner. 2) two smaller subwoofers (each 1/2 of the larger one) in firing into opposing corners of the room. No bass traps. The subs in question are BiB style tapped horns. I've attached some images to clarify. The arrows indicate the direction of the mouth opening on the subs. thanks for any advice |

what kind of bass trap do you have in mind? for what frequency range shall it be effective?
i would go with the one sub one trap version, since you need alot of subs more than two to make the planar wavefront needed to get rid of some room modes. |
