I'm having the rattling relay for 2nd time now. 1st time sub was sent to KEF/UK, took more than 6 weeks. I like to repair it myself this time.
Could anybody send me the service manaul with schematics to me please? I searched everywhere, this seems the only location to get it .............

The standby on/off function works only on the speaker relay, the amp is always powered, hence the amp is always cooking and shortening the life of the components. Replace C59,60 with same rating. Relocate R 143,144 with the aid of flying leads. Increase wattage from 2W to 5W on R148,149 and R141,142 to lower resistor surface temp. Q18, 19 are to be replaced by BD139,140, and attached to the main heat sink. Drill holes and use screws. Remember mica. C42,43, replace with PP caps. Relay are to be replaced with Omron G5LE1-24, rated at 85C. Replace C54,55 with same type, only 105C. Same goes for C52.
Any questions? Just ask.

Are you sure about this part numbers? Not for PSW2000 for sure...

I have a PSW2000 that is making loud low frequency random noises in standby with no input.
Any advice on what causes it ?

This seems to be the second common problem after the relay clicking problem that i had also and was fixed under warranty years ago.

Fixed my PSW 2000...

Replaced All electrolytic capacitors (waiting for the 12000uF).
Replaced 2k2ohm 2W resitors with 5W and leaved the wires long.
Replace and relocated R143 R144 to 9W and fixed them to the main aluminnium block with termal coumpound.
Added heat sinc to Q11 Q13, BD140, BD139 respectively.

Put some silicone to glue resistors to the board because the pcb is very fragile due to been cooking and copper as came detached from it.

Now im thinkink in buying a small -15-0-15V transformer, a rectifier and a relay so i can shutdown the main ampifier via the AF/IN line (auto feature). So i got a true standby.
