80 hz cut-off

do you still hear voices when the cut-off is at 80 hz ? would i be able to locate the sub ?

alot depends on the rate of slope on the crossover 12/24db etc. as well as build quality, of the crossover from my experiences.

i would say you can locate it. males voice lowest formant is around 100hz. so the sub will play it with maybe -6db, depending on the crossover etc.

24 db/octave at 80hz works well for me. But I have two sub woofers equidistant to my main listening position.

I usually start my sub crossover point where the main speakers are naturally -10db down.
