...For a pair of CSS SDX-15 woofers. I could manage the space to build 2 LLT designs (large ported cabinets) but would prefer smaller cabs with a Linkwitz Transform to correct for the natual rolloff of a smaller sealed cabinet. Of course i'll lose out ultimately on maximum output but I'm not sure that's critical (i'm already a pair of 15" TC Sounds subs and will be adding the CSS drivers to the room to help balance response and to a small extent, output).
Opinions? Scott |

Can't say for sure since I'm not you and haven't seen your room, etc. But I vote for sealed with LT. These woofers definitely don't make for a smaller LLT either! Larger than my 4 Ascendant Avalanche 15's, and that's *******' huge already. For the SDX15's, 13 cubic feet internal volume EACH at about 14.3 Hz, and that's before adding volume for the driver/port/bracing, etc. With you already having those TC Sounds, I'd go sealed with EQ for sure. You should have plenty of output.
