Bought a Sony AV receiver and some speakers some time ago with a view to some day adding a subwoofer to it. Bought a cheap subwoofer recently on ebay but (embarassingly) the sub is passive whilst the system requires an active sub. Is there any way you can convert or add an in line amplifier?
AV Receiver is a Sony STR DE495 SD 42 HK |

And some where a little closer
http://www.bkelec.com/Modules/Sub_Bass.htm Highly recommended units, and over engineered! I've used a couple of their units over the years and have always been impressed. Steve |
