I have an AR S500 subwoofer that is clipping badly at moderate to high levels, I have replaced the driver, and found a good working amp out of a 220 V unit and replaced all the boards except the power supply (of course) with no change, so my problem seems to be centered around the power supply.
This is a Sunfire 500W RMS plate amp with a large toroidal power supply transformer. Should I replace this or the two large capacitors that make up this power supply? I'm no technician.
Thank you!
