Default Active Woofer (not Sub)

following the other thread, i have began to look at boxed subs, to achieve the best bass.

i am looking at making a 'subwoofer' but with music and bass quality in mind, so i would call it an Active Woofer rather than a sub

anyway, i am looking at Volt drive units as they seem to have a good (although not that widely discussed) reputation for bass punch and lack of boom, the one in particular, the RV3143 which in WinISD with a 45L enclosure (cant really go much bigger) will give me -3dB point of around 42Hz and then -6dB of around 36Hz which sounds fine (remember i dont want sub bass).

http://www.studitech.ru/resque/manua...olt_RV3143.pdf

Basically a scaled down version of the AVI Sub (http://www.avihifi.co.uk/Sub/Sub.html)

they will be going with some open baffle 10" Silver Iris Coaxials and be powered probably by the 240w Sub Plate Amp on PartsExpress for $99 ATM.

(my room is about 11ftx11ft with a large bay window)

Any advice?

(and anyone used this site - http://www.ebdj.co.uk/shop/product_l...233&man_id=225 - has cheap prices but does not say if it includes VAT)
