Hi, has anyone measured, or happen to know how low in frequency this sound track goes? might help me determine what's causing problems i'm having. maybe rule out frequencies below box tuning as cause. Thanks!

Hi,
Why not use a test disc (make your own on your P.C. if necessary) or hook your soundcard up to your amplifier? You can then try every frequency to find the problem and have better control. Regards, Martin. |

Audacity is a really powerful tool (for freeware) that you can use to produce some nice stuff to do this with.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ NCH has a tone generator that is considerably more simple than audacity but can't do nearly as much. However, it may be just what you need. http://www.nch.com.au/tonegen/index.html Hope this helps. EDIT: I had all the cables with me, as most of them came with my Computer speakers. I used a Sound Card stereo jack (3.5mm I think) to 2 RCA (Left/Right) and then 2 RCA cables to go into my AV receiver. It also helped to have a laptop

Here is a list of CDs with low bass which has been measured with lab instruments:
http://www.provide.net/~djcarlst/basscds.htm There are some music CDs, but most are most are Electro/Techno/Trance? CDs .... P.S. It looks like the SVS list has a lower frequency limit of 10 Hz. The list from SMWTMS goes lower, if you need to ! Good luck ! |
