Need help building a subwoofer box.

I will be building a subwoofer for the first time for my house theater. I don't have much experience with wood work but i don't ned a really fancy looking subwoofer box, as long as it's pleasing to the eye (and won't look like a disaster sitting in the corner of a room). I plan on using a SINGLE Elemental Designs EHQS12 and the 300w Bash amp mounted in the back of the box, or at least thats what i'm planning on doing. Size is somewhat of a concern and so is the ease of building/designing the box. I saw this design on another forum on the same equipment but he is using two subs instead of one (that i plan on using):

So design and dimensions allows me to build a good first DIY woofer with the woofer and amp i'm using? Here are the links to the woofer and amp i will use.

The easiest design to build is a cube. Try like 17x17x17. The sound from that size of cube should be pretty damn good, you could even do like 15x15x51 depending on your free space for the sub. Othe than a cube you could build like pretty much any size box as long as it stays within a certain cubic foot range that you want to tune the sub too. A ported box will be harder to build than a sealed box, ports can be tricky to get a sub to tune to what you like. i would just build a sealed 15inch cube, mount the sub in the front and the amp in the back. I have never had probolems with them as long as they are super air tight. Use plenty of sealent and caulk.
