Default Aura1808 sub in my system now.

hi all

i finished a subwoofer cabinet for the Aura 1808 sub yesterday, based on original plans from seismic sub's company . The Aura1808 has been replaced with the model NRT18.8. I played the cd bass test $ bass tracks, it shaked all the windows, even a lamp of the ceiling falled down. I heard something similar only with the Eminent propeller sub, witch goes down to 2hz. It is incredible. Not boomy, with explosive impact , very dry and clean, and musical finesse at the same time!

I hear ya man! I had two back in 1998 in my shop and when powered with around 1500rms each running a 35hz tone for a few minutes, most all the 48" lights starting falling from the roof haha! When I came back from lunch I had large cracks in the stucco all around the door and window seals of the old building, man that was fun haha. I still have a 1808 in the garage that needs a recone as the cone cracked on my of my overpowering adventures. Mike at aurasound says the new basket assemblies are back in stock woot!

Default u are crazy man

hahaha, fun to hear that. yeah, i have to be careful with power. i open only a view watts, and my neighbours are going crazy. i cannot hear one session, that they call.... well, i will need to move to a house soon..... i had recently a conversation with a french guy, that said he tried out several 18" woofers, and that his aura 1808 mesuring was going down only til 47hz. Well, here mine seems to go down 25hz without any problem.

Only 47hz *LOL* must have been tuned to 50hz haha. I could pop in 20hz and get enough air out of the monster slot port to make my cheeks flap and the air get sucked in and out of my lungs haha.
