For around $200 I can get a well regarded Bic H-100 10" powered subwoofer. For a little less money, I can buy a Dayton 240 watt amp, some 3/4" MDF, and assorted items needed to build a powered sub based on the JL Audio 12W3v2 ( http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_s...p?series_id=12 ) that I have gathering dust in the garage.
My questions to you guys: would it be worth it? Is that sub any good for home audio? Am I all wrong and I should go with a whole different DIY setup? Or, go for the Bic H-100? |
