Yes but if it is not included with te sub or amp you will need to add a cross-over.

you cant use the tape output because the tape out put is not controled. you can do what i did lastyear. go to radio shack and buy a electronic crossover they convert speaker level input to subwoofer out put ( rca and crossed over for a sub) it has a gain and a +- 12 gain and fetures from 50hz to 120hz they work well realy well. there cheap too.

Jason

Of cours i would never think about hooking that up to my aleph's.

on the back of your nad amp there should be a pair of rca plugs they might be ther but i believe they are. they look like silver u's

( U ) whenyou pull them out.

if you look you might see them if not then you might be able to use a resister off a channel of your amp. I have tryed a resister long time ago that converted speaker level to a resonable level for the input of the sub to use. Have a look on the back of your amp and see then let me know.

No silver U's as far as I can tell, but my goal is not to convert a speaker level output but to use a linelevel tapeoutput to connect a active subwoofer too?

Is this possible?

Will it add base?

-Lyle

Thanks!

Just connect it and if it sound good it's ok. If not you will need a cross over.
