We bought our AU317 from a dealer in Watford near London in 1974 .
Has been in daily use ever since(apart from the last 2 years) and has performed perfectly.We moved house 2 years ago and popped it in storage and have today retrieved it and connected it all back up and perfect!
Slight crackling on one portion of the volume control but that went with a few twiddles. A fabulous sounding amplifier from the era when equipment was built well and used lovely linear power supplies. Have bought two KEF iQ50 speakers to complement our new lounge and the set up sounds really good. The caps in the amp are now coming up to 40 years old but still seem perfectly OK.Some folks would I am sure want to replace all the electrolytics but in my unit I see no need.
A cracking amp that should give another 40 years with a bit of TLC
