Default A real man this one... dear Rabbitz.... he use to put his hands to work into the wood

he use the hardware.. he is not lemmon fruit simulator designer... he use to cut his hands, a real Do it Yourself man.... macho...male!.... those guys that decide to construct a swiming pool and put his arms and hands on work and produce an excelent job.

His speakers, really constructed by hand, are excelent and beautifully finished.... art work.

The knowledge about those things are enormous... a gift to us if he decide to write a book with images about that.

regards,

Carlos

Default A Quasi....PNP output, high power unit, for sub woofer purposes

made special for Dudainc, that had bougth a lot of good PNP Sankens at E bay.

The the output transistor quantity may depend from the speaker impedance choice.... around 6 each rail to 4 ohms and 75 volts.

Power will go around 450 watts RMS over 4 ohms...undistorted, unclipped power....continuous power.

More than half of that will be the 8 ohms power.... and 3 output transistors to each rail may work fine.

Transistor selection must be carefull...because the supply voltage is very high.... 2SC4793 and complementary may fit to drivers, to VAS and also can be used as VBE multiplier...the BD139 will work into the VBE multiplier too...voltage there is very small.

The input choice also will need some care.... 2N5551 and 2N5401 may work fine...but will be better to select bigger voltage units.... those ones are very near the rail to rail voltage...their limit is 150 volts...so....may be not perfect....we gonna have half rail there..but even this way not really good and safe...also more linear if you choice bigger voltage units...alike 200 volts from colector to emitter as maximum allowable voltage.

This is an untested amplifier.... for sub woofer purposes.... output is loaded by the zobel..... also the feedback cuts frequency not so high.... the input capacitor can be very increased..the RF filter can be increased too.

Untested...but will work for sure..... made for Dudainc...and other folks that have a lot of PNP somewhere into the junk box.

regards,

Carlos
