suggestion : skip the circuit
speakers cost holly lot more than a pair of transistors

Here is my latest build, a hybrid amp with ECC802S preamp and 2SA1943/2SC5200 main amp.

Little bit messy, but no hum at all...

545VA transformer, 80 000uF capacitor bank, 2x100W RMS...

Default Guiar amplifier

Here is my latest project. Sounds good to my ears. Sports 4 input mixers each with a volume control, 3 way tone control with master level control and pre amps battery supply.

Speakers are 15" and 12" 300W types. The batteries trickle charge when the amp is switched off. Quiet ..

I used the schematic of Rod Elliot guitar poweramp. it has a bit of current feedback suitable for that guitar sound. I'm sure you are familiar with his site.
