and at Phono preamplifier from Lineup & Fotios. In general, it is an Active Preamplifier included in the same case with a Phono Stage, both implemented with discrete devices and high quality parts. It offers 4 inputs: PHONO - CD - DVD - LINE. Its gain is unit (Av = 1) and offers both Single and Balanced outputs. A Record Output is also included, and thanks to the use of robust transistors in the output of main buffer (either MJE172-182 or BD139-140 mounted on heatsinks) the Preamplifier has the ability to drive low loads like a pair of headphones. It is remotely / manually controlled by my Control Unit described previously.
Well done Foti!

Default Out of toppic, but interesting

@ TheShaman and PauloPT

Yes, exactly, we need and an Irish (and who knows whom else in the near future) to establish the club "BANKRUPT".
Sorry guys, but this is not so funny.
Being a worker from my 15 (by doing my studies at the same time, i had no other way), now in my 52 looking back i can see that: When I was 25 I had a few tools, some measuring instruments and some parts, but I had the possibility to earn enough money. Now at my 52 i have lot of tools, lot of instruments and parts but i earn my daily bread with big difficulty and there is no money left over for hobbies and fun.
Personally, I was always self-employed.
IMHO the borrowed money are a very bad thing. Borrowed money are against your independence and your freedom. You should make expenses according to your economic possibility, which means according to your ability of making money from your WORK - with the literal sense of this easily misinterpreted in our times - word.
By an ironic way, this issue is directly related to "DO IT YOURSELF" which is the flag of this forum.

Too bad that common sense is not that common.

I have always been a believer of "live within your means".
For me that is the equivalent of don't borrow.
My first house was paid for in just under ten years.
I have never had any debt to anyone since then.

Credit is too easy. It tempts the thoughtless and/or extravagant to spend foolishly and end up beyond their means.

What I cannot understand is that the Authorities claim they did not see this coming! Ten or twenty years ago they should have put in place regulations to prevent this mayhem happening.

I could not agree more with Fotios and AndrewT on the "live within your means" subject.

This "life policy" makes it all more interesting and more relaxing at the end of the day.

Cheers!
