I've had a Carver PM 1.5 for years and it has served me well on the road as a professional musician. One problem I could never solve, however, was an annoying "buzz" whenever the amp is turned on (and connected to speakers). It sounds like a ground loop and occasionally I have had success by using a 2-prong adapter to lift the ground. It doesn't always work, though. I always make sure that the amp is plugged into the same power strip as the rest of my sound system also trying to avoid a loop. Is there anything else I can try? I have recnetly been using the amp in quieter settings and the buzz is really annoying. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
