Default musical fidelity b200 transformer


hello nice people of the forum before saying anything elese i would like to say a big thank you to this wonderfull comunity that helped me out many times so far ....so thank you people in advance !!!!!

MUSICAL FIDELITY B 200 AMP CAME IN WITH BURNED OUT TRANSFORMER ANY BODY KNOWS WHAT IS THE VOLTAGE OF THE TRAFO ????

i ve seen one schematic post that says that the trafo is 16+16 ac about 24+24 dc can it be correct ???? caps inside the amp are rated 63 volts way haigher than required ....

any ideas ???

I need to know the answer to this as well, did you ever find out?

All I have found so far is that no two amps appear to have the same build standard!

replaced the trafo with a new one made in greece ..... but its so much time ago that i dont remember the ratings ....

search for a schematic ...it should be available somewhere ....i think this is also how i got the ratings

B200 is a good amplifier. I have one, and mine has about 2*63V DC, so trafo is about 2x45v AC

Thanks for that. I wanted to up the smoothing capacitor size and wondered if I could trade down from 63v tp 50v to keep the package size down,
