Hello,
I bought the dc speakers protections VellemanK4700. I want to use these into a multiway active speakers system so I want that the kit can detects not only a DC at the amp output but also signals below a fixed frequency ( about 100 hz for one channel and 800 Hz for the other channel ). How can I do this? Replacing the C7,C8 (C9,C10) caps? Link to the circuit http://www.velleman.be/downloads/0/...anual_k4700.pdf Very thanks |

Just make C7~C10 small enough to where it starts to operate where you'd like it to. |

that's what he seems to be trying to do......... he needs to change A1 and A2 into bandpass filters rather than integrators if he wants to do that...... really no reason to do so because there's no need to protect against out of band signals in a crossover/ biamp/triamp system since they will do no damage. changing the integrators into bandpass filters is not easy

It makes sense if you think that it just happened to me that, due to a bad contact in the connector inside the behringer dcx 2496 crossover, my scanspeak 9700 tweteer fried receiving an high volume 'scratch' at about 100 hz and because there was no cap filter, it died. Obviously I can solve putting a filter cap on the mid and high way, but this will vanish the positive effects of active filtering |
