Who supplies the cheapest toroidal transformers in uk?
Hi everyone
Iam currently fixing 2 denon pma250 se amplifiers,both have exactly same problem primaries open circuit............ These have been powered with external transformer and both work fine,good amps but transformers inferior. I am after 2 toroidals 230 vac primary 2 x 30 vac +earth secondaries,120watt or 160 watt...  Thanks in advance ,i got these amps very cheap as faulty and dont want to spend a fortune a big e i transformer wont fit can not be higher than 60mm

if you strip it for parts keep them for years as soon as you get rid you will want them ..................... |

Hi,
Rapid were selling off non ROHS compliant transformers very cheaply, but I don't know if your size was listed or if there are any left. If you find another company doing a sell-off, tell us. RS aren't! I got most of mine off Ebay. I had to be patient.

If you're stuck I have a few new-old-stock RS ones with 25v secondaries at 100VA you can have for £7 each plus post.
