Default Could this Adcom really work?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Adcom-GFA-555-Po...QQcmdZViewItem
Not really interested in the unit, looks like it was run hard and put away wet.
But the seller claims it tested fine using a preamp and speakers.
If the input jacks are missing the ground though, I don't see how this is possible?
I KNOW that no one would mis-represent anything on ebay, so this has me wondering....

Hi digital desire,
Yes, if they grounded the signal source to the chassis, or it found ground through the AC ground.

I would consider this a rough amplifier. It's only worth the going bid (just over $100 US). The amplifier can be repaired from the looks of things, but at what cost? They could disconnect shorted outputs and it will power up and play music. The first stop for this amp is therefore the test bench with an Adcom tech.

Hi Glenn,
Yup.

Do you know how many warranty claims were attempted over the years? I didn't pass any.
