Also, instead of replacing opamps in TOA and similar consoles I bias outputs by 2 mA current.

Most audible differences are when I whisper and vary distance to the microphone. Biased 4558 shows more "microphone sensitivity distance", it means lower crossover distortions, or higher limiting distortions, but limiting distortions are not visible at all on the oscilloscope (they would not, because with deep feedback transfer function is very straight and sharp on clipping).

By the way, 4558 is dual old good 741. Noisy, but when biased for class A it sounds brilliant.
