Welcome to the forums Audioholik,
We cannot tell how something sounds and make recommendations on looks alone.
Good components are important but even more important is the implementation?

My girlfriend looks pretty but she can't sing!!

Do you have a link? Model number? Manufacturer? We cannot guess.
Cheers,
Martin.

Looks very much like a car amp. Look at all those pots on either side and a 3 terminal connector towards the middle. All those wide tracks near the torroid looks more like a power supply related section. Notice two sets of windings on the torroid ?

I think it is a Class-D amplifier ( switching amp for less heat ).

With bipolar output transistors it has about the chance of a snowball in hell of being a class D amp... I think in your haste to put an answer in what seems like every thread, you have been a bit too fast :)

Looks like a car amp with SMPS power supply. And, as you say, some very high quality components. I'm not going to comment on sound quality in cars :) so I'd better stop right here :)

thanks for your kind words, ilimzn ;)
I have told* other people here, I have great respect for your knowledge.
And that you have a fair attitude, too.
Let's keep it this way, shouldn't we.

*I can quote my and give link, if you want.

So, it is biggest chance this is a car amp.
With something called SMPS. Isn't this a Switching thing.
So if we include the power supply as an important part of power amplifiers,
this makes it a kind of switching amplifier.

But, it still is NOT a Class D amplifier, most probably,
if I am to believe posters here.

We still do not know what this is ...
Where is the topic starter, that can tell

Don't worry, what i wrote was not meant in any harmful way, just a little playfull nudge :)

You can actually see the SMPS parts vertically down the middle of the amp (many MOSFETs and schottky diodes). Usage of one of the best BJT transistors for audio output, suggests a regular class AB amp.
