Rotel ra-935bx, opinions?

Hi.

I might get the chance to buy a Rotel ra-935bx. As far as I can tell its a no-nonsense 2*40W amp, but I can't find any pictures of the inside to confirm building standards.

Have you guys any opinions about this amp? Would it be worth 50$?

93/94. original cost $350. What Hi-Fi best Amp 93.

Definitely worth $50 of anybodies money.

Good value at $50!

Service manual here.

Needs a bit of tweeking though: lose output fuses for a start! etc...etc.

Nevertheless, without modification, Rotel's amplifiers are basically rubbish.

A recommendation. I have had various RC-980BX and they're well designed and sound very good.

To call their integrated/power amps "rubbish" is a bit exxagerated. There are some very good ones amongst them too.
