Mark Levinson ML3 or No23 ????

Does anyone know what the current market value is on this amp?
Would one prefer the No23 or the ML-3? I know the ML3 has variable damping but I think this is just a gimmick in which Carver did the same thing.

Yes, this would be interesting to know. No experts here concerning this models? P.S. from No23 I have schematics getting about reverse engineering (drawing according the the PCB's) - except the main voltage select unit.

I am presently rebuilding several Mark Levinson ML2 amps. I am in need of referrals for reliable parts supply for transistors such as ITS30874 and 2N5465. These are used in the audio board. Will appreciate assistance in sourcing.

Hi John,

I've had several ML-3's I really liked.
ML-3's nowadays almost demand the double amount of cash compared to their succesor the No.23. All the ML-gear as very expensive at the moment like the old Thresholds.
The variable damping is as far as I know a kind of NFB switch. The higher the dampingsetting the more Negative Feedback.
If you do not need the power go for a set of ML-2's. I found these really magical sounding on my electrostatics but they only put out 17 Volts max.
