Can I use higher current mosfets in the output stage of Anthony Holton's n-channel amp to drive lower impedence loads such as 3 ohms or 2 ohms?

The choice of output devices is only one part of the equation. The power supply has to be able to deliver sufficient voltage and current, and the circuit has to be designed (we're talking in terms of the bias, primarily) to yield the output you want. Then, as a consequence, you'll have to provide more heatsink if you've increased the bias current.
Something to keep in mind is that higher current devices may have higher gate capacitance. It could affect the stability of the circuit. This is not an insurmountable problem, but be prepared to tinker if the amp oscillates when powered up.

Consider parallel operation, easier to draw the heat away from several packages than just one.

Could anthony holton's amp be modified to use 85 volt rails? and how could I calculate the power into a 2 ohm load assuming I have plenty of heatsink and power supply.
