Hi,

The NE5534 internals allow the possibility to compare FET, degenerated, and un-degenerated input stages. I suppose a MOSfet input could be tried aswell. I want to build the input stages on boards that can be slotted into an extra 8dip socket.
Could anyone recommend a good PC based 'scope package ?

Hello!
I attach a very much simplified schematic of the world famous NE5534.
Actually would be possible, and not very difficult to build a good
Discrete NE5534 Clone Amplifier.
Such a clone could use for example 80 Volt transistors ( or 100V )
to make the max Voltage Supply +- 40 Volt or more!
