hi guys.
right, i'll give u some ov the story... when i was back at college, i dreamed of an active pa system and in a level electronics thort it was a good idea to build one. needless to say, i now run a pa hire buisness and work full time aswell. i bought most of the expensive bits of the amps, and never built them you'll prob hate me for this, but... i have 4 x 625va 45-0 0-45 (not centre tapped i believe, as the schematic on the trannie suggests), about 8 100v 10,000uf caps and about 40 each mjl21193/94. now i am older and wiser and realise massive power is silly (sorry, i know u all told me at the time) i have no small amp to listen to music with, and the root of all this evil being i love music. i was thinking bout an array of maybe 6 of thoss 3883 (i think theyre the badgers) to give 5.1? (two in bridge for the woofer) but hoping to power this off my trannies somehow. obviously not on +-60 odd volts. can i not just paralell the secondary's with a pseudo 0? giving one megga current 22.5-0-22.5? cheers for all your help! matt
