Greetings,
I just changed the opamp for the headprohe output of my Denon DCD-2560 (the former one was dead on one channel). I temporarily replaced it with an OPA2604 and everything works. The former IC was a RC4556D. Is the OPA an appropriate replacement, or should I switch to another IC? TIA Jan |

Hi!
The RC4556D can supply twice as much current as OPA2604 so there may be problems with low impedance headphones. I would look for an OP that has greater current capability.
