Default Suggestion for Power AMP ! 150W @ Ohms

Hi !

Well, I'm searching for an amplifier that is not very expensive, have good quality and the most important, RELIABLE.

I need something about 150 ~ 200W RMS with a 8Ohms load, and I'd be very glad if you post some suggestions, schematics...

I'm very interested in a Solid State amplifier, that can drive a 125W RMS speaker 8Ohms at high levels very safe, and run cool when idle !

I think that the amp must have something about 150 - 200W to avoid clipping and have a safe margin...

So, I'm open for suggestions !!!

Thanksss !!

Kind Regards,

Fernando

Default Well my dear, try some of the Symassym models with increased supply voltage...and

some transistors replacement.

The Symassym is protected against:

Shock
Vibration
Distortion
High cost
Bad audio

And in portuguese:

Mau olhado, Urucubada, buzunza, maculelê, aritaca, inhaca, olho gôrdo, timbuca, traíra, safardanagem,jôgo sujo, encôsto e mugangas diversas.

This means Voodoo in many kind of brazilian expressions..that are almost the same..woodoo.

Na boa amizadinha...vá na certa...nem perca teu tempo...procure o thread Symassym e leia com calma.

Beeing true my dear...go straigth and do not loose your time....search for Symassym thread and read it entirely and with calm and patience.

saudações

Carlos

Dear Destroyer X,

Would you help me with the transistors replacement / circuit adjustment to run it with more power?

And what about that Simple Killer AMP ? That amp seems to be very good and reliable, and already have the power rating that I need.

Well, I'm going to search for this Symmasym (?) topic and I'll post reply soon !

Leolabs, I KNOW that site, but I want something here to be discussed.

Maxlorenz, thanks for the suggestions, I'll read the links carefully !

Kind Regards,

Fernando

Destroyer X,

Kind Regards,

Fernando

Default Nando, we can mention things in our native language, but we have to offer some kind

of translation or version...because the forum is International...better to me, your friend and Nacional to tell you than the moderators.... despite they are friendly enougth..we cannot forget that they have some "police" function and somethimes they have to act this way.

Please, do not be offended...não se aborreça por favor, sou bem intencionado e quero evitar problemas pra você...i am trying to avoid future problems.

Yes, i can help you related Symassym...better than me you can help yourself reading the thread, because has all those needed informations and the kind and nice support of the designer...Mike is always tracking the forum...from 5 to five minutes he enter to check if there's something to him...so..... the best possible support.

Also that other one, developed in our forum can be a very good choice for you....but i cannot guarantee nothing...your own risk, as Symassym i made and this one i can guarantee the quality.

We have a lot of options, paid options you have LifeForce from Aksa....from Aspen amplifiers....if you need incredible power you can search for Anthony Holton, from Aussie amplifiers...if you want a very nice sound, another good diy is the GEM from Graham Maynard....all them in our forum...and there are many others...but those many others i cannot tell you nothing, as i did not listen to them....or..if i listen to them i do not want to comment as i do not like to burn amplifier images...i prefer the silence to spit bad things here.

Sem problemas para hablações carismáticas metafísicas congruentes e borbolhetantes...not entanto, temos que oferecer uma versão mais ou menos válida e evitar ofensas, palavras rudes, ataques à pessoas ou descortesias.

No problems to talk in our language, but, we have to offer a version, more or less precise and avoid offenses, rude words, figths, criticisms to other guys and bad education....they do not like....not only moderators but also our forum friends, as they turn excluded to our personal conversations...not fair.

Moderators speaks French from Canada...German and other Languages because some of them are from North Europe...many of them have knowledge of Latim languages too...but they do not apreciate our own languages secret messages..because not educated to produce secrets posted in an International forum...we can go directly using our direct mail...the one i am offering you gladly.

nanabrother@yahoo.com......... at your service Mister.

Na bôa!..... no problem...peacefully...wellcome!

regards,

Carlos
