Hey,
I just purchased a used 2800. Does anyone have any experience with these Denon monsters running into 4 ohm loads? There is no real rating into 4 ohms. I have 4 ohms speaker system, and I want to make sure that I will not be trying to drive too low of an impedance causing failure or overheating.
Also, anyone with manual or schematics for these ?
thanks,
feke67

I had once a POA-2800 for a short time .......
My experiences with driving 4 Ohm loads are, that the amp protection circuit activates at even very low output levels (20-30W).
My conclusion:
Your amp will never overheat, and you will never be able to play really loud
Don't be affraidwill not be trying to drive too low of an impedance causing failure or overheating
