Can you guys recommend the easiest amp to build. I don't care how much gain or how it sounds but I would like to require as little parts as possible. I am using this project to help me learn more about electronics and audio components. Links, pics or easy intrustruction would be appreciated but just the name would suffice. Thank you in advance.

Start out with something from the chip amp forum.
You will learn about assembly, power supplies. After you get that done and want something a bit of a challenge, do an ESP P3A http://sound.westhost.com/project03.htm Poke around at his site, lots of good info there. |

Thank you parsecaudio for your design but since I am a very low level noob I have trouble understanding it. Maybe you can explain how to make one in more detail. Or can you post a link with detail or tell me what is this amp called so I can look for instructions.

Hello stonedfenix
I understand your problem... The simpler way to built a circuit is to buy a complete kit with components ,circuit board and instruction in some store nearest to you. |

The 'chipamp' from AudioSector above is a great first project.
Another fun project (and cheap) is the CMoy headphone amp. It'll fit into an Altoids (TM) container with a 9v battery. Not quite as easy to build since there are no prepackaged kits available, but look at http://tangentsoft.net/audio/cmoy-tutorial/ for a tutorial. You can build these together and use the CMoy as a preamp for the ChipAmp... Rick |

I would go with something from either Brian or Peter, they have worked together on some of their projects. Go review both of their sites, look at the project galleries to get some ideas, and buy some sort of kit from either of them.
