Unless you are really set on the Superamp, the regular Leach can be modified to handle higher voltage rails fairly easily now that there are transistors available with reasonable high voltage SOAs. These weren't available when Leach designed the SuperAmp, forcing the use of cascodes.

Use MJ(L)21195/96s or MJL4281/4302 outputs and MJE15032/33 drivers. Be sure to follow the instructions for adjusting the front end for other rail voltages and use plenty of heat sinking on the predrivers and drivers. Use at least four pairs of plastic output devices, you might be able to get away with two metal if you aren't really going to push it hard. If you are thinking PA use, use at least four metal or six plastic outputs.

Use the standard Leach parts list, calculating the resistors for your rails.

For an updated design see www.delta-audio.com. There once was a group buy of Jens' 6 transistor version. Someone may have them available or I think that you can download the gerbers and have them made.

Hi Bob,

I have 3 leach pcbs with me. so i just need to use high value transistors and some resistors need to be changed

eh?

Change R13/14 in Leach's schematic, the output devices and resistors in the protection circuit (about 100 pages into the smaller leach amp thread is a discussion on how to calculate them for your chosen output devices).

Output devices should be rated for at least double the rail voltage.

Also change the drivers to MJE15032/33 or 34/35 for higher voltage capability as well as higher hfe.
