Default Blackgates - Std. vs NX-HiQ as coupling applications

My Rotel Pre-Power & CD Players has a total of 5 std 47uF Blackgates per channel (in signal path) in the coupling function to address DC offset.

Is there any advantage to switch to 47uF 6.3V NX-Hi-Q in terms of sound quality improvements?

Film Caps are too bulky and create other problems (i.e inductance in leads/noise pickup etc)

Any comments or experience would be appreciated.

Thanks

Default Anyone directly compare these?

Anyone have any experience with this comparison?

I searched and could not find this direct comparison.

Any comments will help me decide if I want to buy these NX-Hi-Q caps.

Dan,
I can recommend the change. To me it was better than a standard MKP, SOLEN, cap. But before changing, check whether you need one at all! Look for dc offset on the caps. If it's below 30 mV, don't use a cap.

Just be aware that the Hi-Q is only rated for 6,3 volts. For a cd-player it won't be a problem but for a pre-amp, the 6,3 volt will be a little low.
Just try it on your player, the price isn't that high, a few $ a piece. Look for www.partsconnexion.com.

Good luck
Rob
