Hi,
I have just bought a big pair of woofers in a cabinet. Tannoy B950. http://store.teleconsystems.com/PDF/tan_b950.pdf Should I consider ClassAB or the newfangled Digital power amp to drive it? Once I have this decision made, then it's over to the sub woofer forum to attempt to modify the sub-bass response (none at present). |

I have a rythmikaudio plate amp, and some UCD180 amplifiers. From a total cost perspective, its nearly impossible for me to put together a ucd sub amp for anywhere near the cost of a well made cheap import. Got to love the efficiency though of the class d amps.
If you go for a turnkey solution, a lot of the hypex range of products have aux 12 volt, so you could power your sub crossover/input stage. |
