Hi All

I've just replaced my 405's electrolytics with two big 'uns rated 10'000uf/100vdc in the place of the previous items which were rated @ 63vdc. A friend sent me today some further upgrade data where the notes mentioned caps rated up to 22'000uf, but always rated at 63vdc. The author also mentions that he is 'not sure if the rectifier will survive the much higher start-up current'. Does this caution only apply to the higher capacitance or to the dcv as well?

My amp is fine after the change to 10'000uf/100vdc but is it at risk of frying the rectifier due to the increase from 63 to 100vdc?
