Hi,
I finally got my *** up and fix'd my Revox A78. I'ts hurt's but it's better than my SE tube amplifier!! But some points, the phono amplifier is not good. I can se why! It's works by changing the feedback loop in the preamplifier. When it's used with line signal it just add's more feedback. That is not good in my eye's a pinch of feedback is good, to much is bad. So, what about building a new pre? With relay switching between a sep. phono amplifier and the line stage? It's very simple to do. It's just a plug in card, so no modifcation is needed. Easy to put in orignal shape. Now I need to build me another tube amplifier... Best regards, Magnus
