I torched my Gallien Krueger 400RB amplifier board. Well actually the board is OK but a half dozen parts fried so I can't tell their values. I am hoping someone has a parts layout for PC board and the related parts list. The board number is 206-0041-C6. I went on line and found schematics, but no lay out with parts.

Did you contact GK and ask if they had a parts layout for that board? Having been a GK service center, and looking back through my collection - the one the factory supplied - the only docimantaion supplied was schemos. It wasn't until about 1990 that parts layout drawings started to appear.
You should be able to identify the parts to the schemo by following traces to see what they connect to. |

Enzo, Thanks for responding. I haven't contacted a service center yet. I thought they would just recommend that I send the amp in for service. I found the "schematic only" on line for $15. I was hesitant to buy it because they don't always identify all part values, some are left for the parts list to identify. It may for example show Q6 but without a part number. Also, there are a couple parts that burned the part number off of the PCB. I could use just the schematic for the PCB part no. 206-0041-C6, if it identifies all the part values. Would you by any chance have that schematic?

I don't have it scanned, but on the 60041 drawing, upper left is a list of transistor types:
Q1,3,5,14 - MPSA06 Q2,10 - MJE15031 Q4,6,15 - MPSA56 Q7 - MJE15030 Q8,9 - MJ15001 Q11,12 - MJ15002 Q13,16 - TIP31B U1 - LF351N U2 - KBPC602 (bridge rectifier) Duides 1N4002 except D7,8 - 1N966 Whenever there is a mystery xstr, look to its complement across the amp. Use the same thing but opposite polarity, as in this case MPSA06 vs MPSA56. |

Enzo, You are too cool. That will cover what I need. Thanks again. Dave
