Hi there! I am new in this forum. Wondering if anyone can help me: I have got completly toasted KA-501, with possible preamp section alive, but the rectifier and the output amp are completly removed. I don`t know voltages for the preamp and the values of parts for eventualy repairs/modifications. My intensions are to put in a nice hybrid amp I am using and making for years: input section of amplifier (for voltage amplifying) is valve amp,wit PCC88, and current (output drivers) section is Hitachi`s mos-fet 2SK/2SJ amp, completly without NFB. If somebody is interested to build such one, I`ll post a copletly schematics, part lists and PCBs layout. It`s sounds warm like valve amp and has all dynamics and power that valve amps usualy lack and it`s relatively cheep and easy to build.
