Dual Emitter Resistor

I have an onkyo A-SV610PRO intergrated amp
with a fried right channel. It uses a .22ohm 5W dual
emitter resistor. One side of the dual resistor is open.
Ive contacted several suppliers and they either dont carry it
or thier on back order. Is there any reason I cant use a pair
of single resistors as a replacement?

A pair of single resistors will work fine, the only reason they really use the 2 in 1 resistors is for the convence of one more less part and maybe smaller. As long as the ones you put in are the same value and wattage you'll have no problem.

Thats kind of what I thought.
I just wanted to confirm it and make sure there
wasnt some other reason before actually doing it that way.

Hi glen65,
Note that these are non-inductive resistors, a plate design. Wire wound resistors may cause oscillation. That and they don't fit worth a darn.

Use the correct parts.
