Yamaha AVC30 Schemetic

Hi
I have a Yamaha AVC30 amplifier
wich has burned some resistors so I can not read their values
does anybody have a schemetic for this amplifier
or can anybody tell me where I can download it?..

I have already replaced the faulty transistor now I just
need the value of those resistors so I can switch it on & test it...

Hi, If the resistors were in the load circuit when the output blew they will probably be around 1 OHM wire wound. Hamrad should have some 5w devices. if it works, great. it the power is low, these may need to be anything as low as 0.1 Ohm.

but those are fine

it is some 1/4w ones next to the output transistros...
they are blown on both sides so I cant even copy on
the other chanel...

Hi, Sorry that never fixed the problem. The next lot to look at are output and driver bias resistors which could burn up in some circumstances.
The values as a rule of thumb will be from 100 ohms up to no more that say 470 at the upper limit. It is not likely that anything higher than that will burn quickly.
I would try 220 ohm half watts and watch carefully when you switch on. Have you checked out your driver transistors? I would........Now!
Its difficult to say with certainty because you can incur distortion etc if you mess too much but give it a try!

Hi diyfmradio,
I searched around a bit and found a few download sites, but nothing at no charge.

Check here for one. $19.50 USD. Close to the actual manual cost from Yamaha I think. I'd contact the Yamaha spares dept. if I were you. Get the entire manual.

You can always rip it all out and build a coulple of gainclones in there instead......probly sound better too...Klank mooi ne!
