KEEPS BLOWING THE O/P TRANSISTORS IRF540

CAN ANLYONE HELP

Hi,

Which, all four of them ?

If they're blown and they have a metal tab check that it's properly isolated (tab is drain I think). Then, remove them and check for shorts where they were on the pcb between the pins and between the pins and the supply rails. Amp is quasi-complementary, one FET will be between +rail and output and the other output and -rail.

Fuse not blown ? Should be 1.25Amps, check what is fitted.

Oh, and please stop SHOUTING.

thanks for the reply

its just one chan thats dead and the fuse is blown

i dont have a map of the amp so my hope is someone is

a arcam expert out there or[ fet o/p stages]
