hy all,
can someone give me a good schematic of a good audio preamplifier that has a low THD?. i use this amplifier http://sound.westhost.com/project03.htm#pwr_update but my audogy sound blaster cannot blast this amplifier with enough power. hardly can i hear something whem soundcard is set to maximum cvolume. i want to buil an preamplifier that has tone and volume adjustments. thank you

Have you tried using another source to input to this amplifier?Your soundblaster sould be able to power headphones to a decent level.I use an amplifier very close to that one of my own design that works very well with my sb card and it pushes it to clipping.

yes. i user a few years ago a sound card that had a better amplification, but i don't have it anymore. that is why i want to buil an preamplifier. does anyone has any schematic?

Try one of the many preamps that Rod has on the same site (ESP), ranging from minimalist (the DoZ preamp) to full featured, all with PCBs for sale.
I am using the DoZ, simple and does the job well. |
