At the moment i have a quad 44 pre and 405-2 (moddified) power amp.
I only use cd and vinyl. The modded 405-2 now has an imput sensitivity of 1.5 I can run my marantz cd player straight into it, but i know one day ill turn it on (the cd player reverts back to full after switch off) and accidently press paly at full volume! Can i just build a phono amp, with a volume pot and a switch to direct to another pair of phono sockets that just feed direct to the power amp, via the volume pot obviously? I know nowt about this stuff, im a complete novice so please forgive my nievety. If i can do this, anyone got any circuit suggestions? Headphone output would be lovely too. Thanx |
