Well, it's just an op-amp anyway, perhaps a little finnicky on wiring. I was wondering if anyone had wired up an LM3875 as a first order filter, and what the results were, whether it was stable etc.

I haven't tried this, but have seen an ap note (somewhere) on it, and have had some discussions with a fellow using these about the same. I will probably try it when i get mey gain klones going since at least a pr will be used for woofers. It is just an op-amp and it should be possible to easily do 2nd order, and maybe push 3rd order, 1st order should be easy.

It's ok as long as you remember that you need to maintain a gain of 10 (or whatever) for stability. So for a highpass you're fine but for lowpass a capacitor in the feedback loop will bring the thing into an unstable condition unless extra compensation is used.
