Anyone know the specs on the Audio research D100A Output and driver transitors. The outputs are Motorola House number 300027 and the drivers are an unknown Hong Kong brand House Number 300024

I will give AR a call on monday but i might have the parts in stock if someone knows what these are. I would like to get this thing buttoned up asap.

Oh and BTW. this thing is a MAJOR PITA to work on....

Thanks

Audio Research amps D52, D100, D110 and D350

- Output devices AR n°300026/300027 are MJ15003/MJ15004
- Driver ( Q1 to Q8) & regulator ( Q39, Q40 ) AR n° 300024/300025 are MJ150015/MJ150016 or 2SD551/2SB681 or 2SD425/2SB555
- Input stage ( Q33 to Q38 ) & regulator ( Q37, Q38 ) AR n° 300011/300021 are 2N3440/2N5415

For the best results : driver Q & output Q must be matched ( one reason for the ARC high price ! )

I have one that will not turn on. I am quite surprised there is no power switch. Any advice on dis-assembly?

Here, you have all schematics on ARCDB site :
ARCDB - D-100
D-100, D100B, diagrams are far from differents.

In priority it is necessary to be careful.
This amplifier have no protection for CD curren on outputs.
If you are not sure, it should not be connected on your speakers !!!

Quickly said, I think your problem is on power supply parts.
In a first time you have to verify :
- if there is nothing on the 2 chanels output
- all the fuses : one on rear panel, 4 inner and below, 2 behind face panel,
- transformer, primary continuity ( on it and the thermal switch SW2 ).
After you have to ensure you have all the rectified tensions : +/-50v +/-55v and +/-15v
